Student emergency aid may be in the form of grants, low-interest loans, or referrals to community organizations as appropriate

The Office of Student Financial Assistance provides oversight of multiple emergency aid programs to support students in continuing to attend classes while experiencing emergent circumstances. The funds are available to assist students with unexpected expenses, such as car repairs, utility expenses, childcare expenses, health care expenses and more.

Special Circumstances

If you or your family are experiencing extreme changes in your financial situation (i.e. loss of employment, medical expenses, separation/divorce), you may be eligible to adjust your FAFSA to reflect your situation more accurately. Please email the Office of Student Financial Assistance for instructions.

Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II)

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II) is authorized by the Coronavirus Reponse and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSSA) and was signed into law on . Texas A&M University-Central Texas is using HEERF II funds to provide students with financial aid grants, which may be used for any component of the student’s cost of attendance. HEERF II grant fund priority awarding will go to eligible undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled at Texas A&M University-Central Texas and who have demonstrated exceptional financial need based on their FAFSA application:
