After reading Lisa Wade’s American Hookup, which I examined here, I found my self wondering if youngsters who do not attend university navigate the “fog” of hookup tradition that Wade’s pupils describe. After looking at the interview my hubby, David, and I also performed with 75 non-college informed teenagers in southwestern Ohio, I think that response is both yes and no.
In the one hand, one-third of your sample reported having sex outside of a connection.
